THE POOL

The Pool is open seasonally to hotel guests only from Memorial Day – Columbus Day, offering the perfect setting amidst 270 degree views of the Catskill Mountains for a warm days of sunbathing and swimming.

The Pool will be closed on Tuesday, October 10th, for the upcoming winter season. See you next summer!

How can I enjoy the Pool?

The Pool is open to hotel guests only and there is no reservation needed.

What are the Pool conditions?

The Pool is chlorinated and heated.

How deep is the Pool?

The Pool is 4ft deep.

Can my pup come with me?

Service dogs are allowed at the Pool with the proper documentation.

Do I need to bring a towel or sunscreen?

We offer complimentary towels and Supergoop sunscreen.

Are children allowed?

Yes, children age 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Can I bring pool floats and toys?

With the exception of children’s flotation devices, pool floats and toys are not allowed.

Will there be music?

Of course! Memorial Day through Labor Day, our favorite DJs will offer live music from 2-5pm on Saturdays. On holiday weekends live music will be offered on Saturdays and Sundays. POOL SAFETY RULES

The Pool at Scribner’s Catskill Lodge is not supervised by a lifeguard or other responsible person. In place of on-site supervision, we have established a series of safeguards to be followed by all guests. We are required to notify you of these rules, to ensure that water rescue equipment is at the Pool and the swimming area is maintained in a sanitary manner. In the interest of your safety, we require you to follow these rules.

Never swim alone

A minimum of two adults 18 years of age or older, must be present whenever this swimming facility is in use, with at least one adult on the pool deck.

There is no substitute for adequate supervision

Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied to the bathing facility by a parent or guardian, or a similar adult responsible for their safety and behavior.

In an emergency, notify the facility operator and contact help immediately

A free telephone is provided at the north wall of the Pool House. Telephone numbers for the nearest emergency medical service are posted.

Only use this facility during posted hours of operation and swim only in the designated bathing area.

Don’t drink alcohol and swim.

Injuries can be prevented and safety is everyone’s responsibility.
